Sleep is one of the biggest challenges for parents. It important for the growth and development of children, and critical to the functioning of parents. This course explains how children and parents are actually affected by sleep deprivation and what can be done to help improve the amount and quality of sleep for both. The course also looks at the expectations and reality of child sleep, the myths about sleep, how much sleep do we actually need, common sleep issues for children, and gives helpful advice on gentle techniques that can help children sleep (not cry it out methods). It discusses napping, sleep props and night waking. It aims to provide useful insights that will help the whole family get a better nights sleep.
